Hello! Tonight I am showing you Lacquerlove December 2014 box by So Susan Cosmetics. Can you believe it’s already the last box of the year!?! I have swatched quite a few boxes over the past few months, you can check them out here.

This box consists of polishes in Violaceous, Lipstick, Merry Mulberry and Gold Foil. The free gift was Universal Blush. This month’s theme was Celebration. You can order the box here for £14.95 posted.

So Susan Gold Foil

Gold Foil is a golden glitter polish in a slightly yellow tinted base. On the swatches I am wearing three coats with no top coat. The polish was easy to apply and the glitter density was perfect!

So Susan Merry Mulberry

Merry Mulberry  is a dark purple polish with shimmer finish.  On the swatches I am wearing two coats with no top coat. Again, great to apply and fast drying time. Some visible brush strokes in the finish but the darkness hides the lines quite well.

So Susan Lipstick

Lipstick is a Santa-suit red polish with creme finish. On the swatches I am wearing two coats with no top coat. Flawless formula.

So Susan Violaceous

Violaceous is a sheer lilac polish full of tiny golden flakes and has a pearl finish. On the swatches I am wearing three coats with no top coat. The polish was easy to apply. The overall result was quite subtle but very beautiful.

As Violaceous had a hint of gold hidden in the finish I decided to combine it with Gold Foil to do a bit of nail art. I went with a simple gold glitter gradient which I recently saw on Anna‘s nails. Some-why I can’t find the look in her blog but I’m 100% sure I saw it on her, she used red and gold.

Check the video below to see how I did my glitter gradient.

I used a tiny piece of make up sponge and tweezers to hold it.

The So Susan Universal Blush came in a very cute box :) you can also see a swatch of the blush below. I haven’t used it on my face yet but so far I have been very happy with all the make up bits form the Lacquerlove boxes. Especially the Jelly Bong Bong Blush and Contour (swatch here) which now has a rival :D
