I played around with some nail foils today and I quite like the look so I thought I might as well them with you.
If you are quite not sure how to apply nail foils you can check up my tutorial here.
For today’s look I applied OPI Nail Envy as a base coat. I then applied foil glue and two layers of fuchsia pink holographic nail foil. I then used Little Ondine ‘Secret’ as a top coat.
Little Ondine ‘Secret’ is a water based nail polish and therefore won’t destroy the foils on application like all the ‘normal’ nail polish top coats.
The big downfall with Little Ondine ‘Secret’ is that it peels off rather fast (I’m talking like within 12 – 24 h) and when used on top of normal nail polish as a top coat it takes ages to dry.
It is a shame as it performs so great over foils and chrome/mirror dust.
UPDATE! I’ve played around with it a bit more and noticed that you can apply a fast dry top coat over Little Ondine ‘Secret’ when you give it enough time to dry. If you apply the top coat right away the foil may still wrinkle/dull a bit, but when left for 10 min or longer it does not happen.
I got the Little Ondine ‘Secret’ from Amazon for £8.40.
