Pond mani tutorial

Pond mani tutorial time!! As mentioned in my previous post, I was keen to try pond mani with the new Barry M Lolly Gloss polishes (swatches here).

I used all four Lolly Gloss polishes on my nails: Orange Fizz on index finger, Pink Candy on middle finger, Cherry Drop on my ring finger and Purple Pop on my pinky.

For the flowers I used a size 2 Kolinsky brush and white Jo Sonja acrylic paint. I learned about Jo Sonja acrylic paints from Tartofraises blog (her work is soooo amazing!!). So far Jo Sonja acyclic paints have proven to be very good for nail art and especially for one stroke. I purchased them from here.

Okay, back to the pond mani tutorial. You can see it below:

And here’s a few examples of different flower placements/bases using Barry M Purple Pop :)

Which one do you like the most? I think my favourite is the middle finger flower.

That’s all for today, thanks for reading :) xx

Oh thank you for reviewing the Pond mani possibilities with these polishes. I was wondering if they would be suitable for that purpose and I can see they work beautifully. I’m guessing they would be useful for leadlighting as well. I enjoyed watching the layers build up in your video … my favourite finger in the purple design is your ring finger. :)
