Hello! Super exciting post for you tonight- Models Own Colour Chrome swatches and review. The new Colour Chrome collection was announced yesterday. It consists of ten liquid metal effect polishes in slick metallic bottles that sure do catch your eye. I was so happy to receive five of the ten releases to swatch and review in my blog.
Models Own Colour Chrome swatches and review
Pamphlet that I received with the polishes stated the following: ‘To achieve a flawless, reflective finish, buff nails first then use without a base or top coat; but apply 2-3 coats to help increase durability.’
I applied all the polishes with no base/top coat. As of layers I applied as many as I needed for a full coverage. All the polishes were very opaque and only needed either one thick or two thinner coats. They all had similar, easy to apply, formulas. The polishes also dried VERY fast, even when a thick layer was applied.
The only weakness of these polishes was the brush strokes in the finish, which didn’t come as a surprise as most of the foil effect/shimmer polishes tend to get brush strokes.
A difference compared with other Models Own polishes was that these polishes came with a wider brush which I really liked, I wouldn’t mind if they’d decide to use a wider brush for all the new polishes.
Models Own Cerise
Cerise is a pink polish with metallic finish. On the swatches I am wearing one coat.
Models Own Mauve
Mauve is a lilac polish with metallic finish. On the swatches I am wearing one coat.
Models Own Rose
Rose is a rose bronze polish with metallic finish. On the swatches I am wearing two coats.
Models Own Indigo
Indigo is a light blue polish with metallic finish. On the swatches I am wearing one coat.
Models Own Olive
Olive is a light green polish with metallic finish. On the swatches I am wearing two coats.
Are Models Own Colour Chrome polishes good for stamping?
YES! They are perfect for stamping!
