Hello and happy Monday, I have the very last set of Barry M Summer 2013 releases for you today. I have already reviewed the Hi-Shine Gelly’s and Confetti Effects. This one is called Barry M Sequin Nail Effects and the collection consists three polishes. You can find them in your local Superdrug, Boots or online at Barry M website and each polish costs £3.99.
The first polish is called White, my most favorite from this set. It was easy to apply and the finish looked rather nice after applying one layer of top coat. It was the nicest of the three because it didn’t have too many of the “sand” bits in, I am not a big fan of the sandy grains but I love the little glitter pieces.
Pink had a lot of the above mentioned “sand” grains in and was therefore almost impossible to apply. Even after applying the top coat I wasn’t satisfied with the look as it was too bulky and not a nice finish. Sad because I really like the color pink and wanted to wear it a lot this summer.
I had no problems applying the black polish, the grainy and glittery bits were easy to handle and fell to place pretty easily. I applied one layer of top coat and were satisfied with the finish. It dried faster than any of the above and the finish looks very secure, no fear of the grains/glitter falling off. The only uncomfortable part is that the tips of my nails feel quite sharp and therefore I wouldn’t buy this effect polish to very young lacquer lovers.
I hope you have enjoyed my very last Barry M post for the time being, lots of nail art coming from now on ;)
