Hello! Today I have swatched Kleancolor Chunky Holo Black nail polish for you. Huh, that name was a mouthful. Funny enough, whereas you could call it chunky, you definitely shouldn’t call it holo or black.
Kleancolor Chunky Holo Black review
Kleancolor Chunky Holo Black is a brown jelly polish full of large and small multi-chrome glitter. The multi-chrome changes from green to bright orange. Honestly, why it is called black and holo!? It’s just wrong and certainly misleading.
This is actually my first Kleancolor nail polish. I remember about 7ish years ago, Kleancolor was quite easily available here in UK. The polishes were sold on eBay for quite cheap. Usually also in large bundles (for example, bundles containing 45 polishes etc). I did get the polish as part of a bundle on eBay, but it was a pre-owned polish.
I never bought any of the bundles as I remember reading reviews which described that the polishes dry very slow. Now that I have tried the polishes out, I can confirm that they do dry slow indeed.
As a result, I decided to apply the polish using a sponge. To my (pleasant) surprise, it really worked! It dried super fast and looked so, so pretty.
I think that it is worth mentioning that the polish did have a bit of odd smell, not the worst, but not your usual nail polish smell. Regardless, after applying top coat, I could not smell anything unpleasant on my nails. And trust me, I am very sensitive to smelly polishes!
I used Morgan Taylor Ultramarine Applique as the base colour to bring out the vibrant multi-chrome finish. I am also wearing a top coat on the swatches (my good old favourite Poshe).
To be honest, I think the swatches don’t show the true beauty of this polish. I really loved it, and the colour combination. I ended up wearing it for a full week!
