Hello and happy weekend! Autumn is bringing some exciting new nail polish collections. Models Own announced a new collection called Diamond Luxe yesterday. Models Own Diamond Luxe collections consists of 10 new luxurious shimmer shades. I have five of the new shades to show you today.
Models Own Diamond Luxe
The Diamond Luxe collection will be available from Models Own website on September 19th, in all UK Models Own Bottleshops on September 20th and in Superdrug stores nationwide from September 24th. Each polish retails for £4.99.
Models Own Asscher Blue
Asscher Blue is a bright sky blue polish with shimmer finish. On the swatches I am wearing two coats with no top coat. The formula was great and the polish easy to apply.
Models Own Carat Coral
Carat Coral is a coral red polish with golden shimmer finish. On the swatches I am wearing two coats with no top coat. The formula of this polish wasn’t the easiest to work with, it was very thick but looked okay after two coats (just not the smoothest). I think this polish would look best with an extra layer of top coat.
Models Own Princess Pink
Princess Pink is a baby pink polish with shimmer finish. On the swatches I am wearing three coats with no top coat. Similarly to Carat Coral the formula was a bit thick.
Models Own Marquise Maroon
Marquise Maroon is a dark red polish with red and gold shimmer finish. On the swatches I am wearing two coats with no top coat. The formula was great to work with and the polish had a beautiful glossy finish.
Models Own Oval Plum
Oval Plum is a purple polish with shimmer finish. On the swatches I am wearing two coats of polish with no top coat. The formula was flawless and the colour just perfect!
In conclusion, the formulas were mostly good but the thicker ones are slightly harder to work with and would need a top coat. Drying time was a bit slow for all the polishes so I’d top them up with a fast drying top coat.
The diamond dust shimmer finish looks really good with each of the colour, appears very vibrant with some colours and less with others. Very pretty nevertheless.
Overall I think there are some super beautiful shades in the Diamond Luxe collection, my personal favourites are Marquise Maroon and Oval Plum. These two are just perfect for Autumn!
