Hello! Today I’m showing you my picks from OPI Gwen Stefani 2015 collection. The whole collection consists of beautiful Holiday appropriate colours. The polishes are divided in Holiday Lacquers and Special Effect Lacquers.
OPI Red Fingers & Mistletoes
Quite a few of the holiday polishes are, as you’d expect, red. I’m not big on reds so I left out most of the red creme ones but couldn’t resist Red Fingers & Mistletoes which is a red polish full of golden sparkle. It’s from the Holiday Lacquers collection.
On the swatches I’m wearing three coats of polish with no top coat. The polish applied flawless and was okay with two coats but in my opinion looked better with three.
OPI First Class Desires
The second polish I chose from the Holiday Lacquers part of the collection is called First Class Desires. It is a dark, dark purple polish full of multicolour sparkle. The colourful shimmer looks more vibrant in the bottle than on the nail but nevertheless it’s a beautiful polish.
On the swatches I’m wearing two coats of polish with no top coat.
Next up I have a few picks from the Special Effect Lacquers. Two of them are actually the same but partly in opposite colours.
OPI Snow Globetrotter
Snow Globetrotter is a glitter topper full of different size white and iridescent hexes. On the swatches I am wearing one coat on top of Nails Inc. New York Noir.
I’m also wearing a layer of top coat which this polish most certainly needs due to some of the glitter being rather large.
OPI Comet In The Sky
Comet In The Sky is a glitter topper full of different size BLACK and iridescent hexes. See what they did here!?! ;)
On the swatches I am wearing one coat on top of OPI Alpine Snow.
This polish also needs a layer of top coat to be completely smooth.
OPI Rollin’ In Cashmere
Last, and unfortunately least comes Rollin’ In Cashmere. It’s a light gold coloured shimmer polish.
On the swatches I’m wearing three coats with no top coat. The formula was good to apply but the finish was very brush stroke-y which I didn’t like :/
To be honest I only got this one because it was in the set with the two glitter toppers which I really liked. It’s like the Worcester Sauce of crisps- everybody buys the pack of 22 but no-one ever likes the Worcester Sauce ones. Maybe one day, maybe by Christmas I’ll eat my words and wear this polish again. We shall see!
