Hello! Here we are with OPI Swatch Marathon Part 10. PART TEN! I cannot believe it haha. So, I just made some calculations and by the end of today’s post I have shown you a whopping 40 OPI’s. This means that we have about 250 to go… Well, I have swatched some of them, so maybe around 200 more to go. I think it is going to take me at least a year to finish the marathon.
Anyhow, today we are looking at some beautiful polishes from the year 2005.
OPI Sweetie Pie
Sweetie Pie is a light pink, almost white pearl polish with lilac shimmer in it’s finish.
This and two of the next polishes pictured are all from the spring 2005 Honeymoon Edition Soft Shades collection. On the swatches I am wearing two coats of polish with no top coat.
OPI Tickets to Paradise
Tickets to Paradise is a white polish with some cold/grey undertones. It’s a little on the sheer side. On the swatches I am wearing three coats of polish with no top coat.
OPI Bride’s Bouquet
Bride’s Bouquet is an antique white polish with creme finish. It’s a lovely opaque polish, but had a very poor formula (likely because of the age!). Even nail polish restorer didn’t help awful lot. On the swatches I am wearing two coats of polish with no top coat.
OPI Flashbulb Fuchsia
Flashbulb Fuchsia is a bright fuchsia polish with a glass fleck shimmer in it’s finish. On the swatches I am wearing two coats of polish with no top coat.
Flashbulb Fuchsia is the only polish I own from the 2005 summer (Brights) collection.
OPI Skinny Dip’n in Lake Michg’n
Skinny Dip’n in Lake Michg’n is a beige polish full of white glass fleck shimmer. Very pretty polish, isn’t it? Formula wise, not so much. As visible on the photos. On the swatches I am wearing two coats of polish with no top coat.
This and the next three polishes are all from the 2005 fall Chicago Collection.
OPI Windy City Pretty
Windy City Pretty is a gorgeous mauve pink polish with pink/golden light shimmer in it’s finish. On the swatches I am wearing two coats of polish with no top coat.
OPI The Grape Lakes
The Grape Lakes is a polish I am struggling to describe. Firstly, it looks so much lighter in the bottle compare to the photos. It’s pretty much a grape colour polish with light pearl finish. I feel the photos show it a lot darker than kit actually is – apologies! On the swatches I am wearing two coats of polish with no top coat.
OPI Lincoln Park After Dark
Lincoln Park After Dark is a well know and iconic shade. It is a shade that has been in the OPI’s permanent collection for as long as I can remember.
It is a dark, almost black plum polish with creme finish. On the swatches I am wearing two coats of polish with no top coat.
What a lovely bunch of polishes this was if I say so myself!
