Color blocking nail art.

By on May 25, 2013 in Nail Art

Good morning and Happy Bank Holiday,

Today I would like to show you my first try on color blocking technique. Instead of using the traditional red-blue-yellow style I went for a simple white-grey-black look. I was inspired by a dress I saw at Riverisland, the dress looks like that:

Cream Colour Block Tube Dress from Riverisland (click image for direct link).

I really like the slimming effect of the dress; 10 out of 10, would wear ;) Today is actually my second day to re-create a fashion look, yesterday I re-created a cut out dress style nails. Although the first time I re-created a dress was for my 31 Day Challenge and I created a H&M tropic dress. Maybe the whole weekend is going to be a re-creation of fashions? Would you like that?
The polishes I used for today’s manicure are as follows:

L-R: Sinful Colors Snow Me White/ Barry M Grey/
L.A. Colors Black Velvet/ Color Club Fast Dry Top Coat.
And finally, here is the manicure itself:

Not sure if you noticed, but I decided to start using a dark background for my photos… I think it looks better, what do you think? Any recommendations for me to improve my photos?
Thank you for reading, I wish you a beautiful and sunny weekend xoxo.

Love this design, that dress inspiration reminds me of my dress I got for xmas. Love the dark background, I think they make nail art stand out when its a darker background
