Hello and happy Monday! Today I have swatched Constance Carroll Impulsive. I feel that I have neglected my vintage nail polish collection a little with only swatching either new polishes or my vintage OPI’s. So, this week I will concentrate on swatching some of my old polishes that are not OPI.
I got Impulsive as part of a haul from eBay. This brand is quite special for me. It was one of the main brands that was easily accessible when I was a teenager. I used to wear a very similar polish to Impulsive, called Wizard (swatched here). I also had a blue pearl polish from Constance Carroll, but I haven’t managed to find the name of it.
Constance Carroll Impulsive review
Impulsive is likely from the 90’s or early 00’s. It smells like it was made with all sorts of chemicals. On the swatches I am wearing three coats with top coat. Initially I expected it to be a duplicate of Essie Starry Starry Night, but it clearly isn’t. The blue is very dark teal colour, almost black and the glitter density is different.
I did end up digging out another polish with I would say is the closest you can get to Starry Starry night, but more on that next time!
