Hello! Today I have prepared OPI Hello Flamingo collection swatches and review for you. Hello Flamingo collection is a limited edition collection consisting mostly of old OPI shades but also two new pastel shades. I purchased this set from eBay. The whole set cost me about £37 posted which I thought was a good price considering that the new shades sell for £12.99 each.
OPI Hello Flamingo collection swatches and review
Hello Flamingo set is right down my alley. I love it! Two different pinks, gorgeous blue, green, lilac AND a good opaque white- what else could one nail polish and nail art lover ask!?!
These polishes have great formulas, dry fast and have a beautiful glossy finish. On each swatch I am wearing two coats of polish with no top coat.
OPI Flamingo Tini Pink
Flamingo Tini Pink is a lovely pink polish with creme finish. This is a new shade made for Hello Flamingo collection.
OPI Feel the Mo-heat-oes Green
Feel the Mo-heat-oes Green is a light green polish with creme finish. This is also a new shade made for Hello Flamingo collection.
OPI No Room for the Blues
No Room for the Blues is a blue polish with creme finish. This polish was originally released with OPI Brights collection I think.
OPI Pink Flamenco
Pink Flamenco is a fuchsia pink polish with creme finish. Originally released with Espana collection but also with the Classics collection.
OPI Alpine Snow
Alpine Snow is a bright white polish with creme finish. This one was released with OPI Soft Shades collection.
You’re Such a Budapest
You’re Such a Budapest is a beautiful lilac polish with slight shimmer in it’s finish. It was originally released with OPI Euro Centrale collection.
OPI Hello Flamingo collection dupes
When the polishes arrived my dupe alert went on. OPI Pink Flamenco looked very similar to OPI Kiss Me on my Tulips. They both are fuchsia pink cremes but when I compared side to side Pink Flamenco is slightly brighter. Barry M Shocking Pink however seems to be the exact same colour. L.M.B. number 21 was close but a tone darker.
Flamingo Tini Pink didn’t have an exact dupe in my collection. Sinful Colors Cotton Candy was close colour wise but it is not full creme, when you look close it has a subtle shimmer finish. I also compared it with Seche Pretty Little Heartbreaker and Orly Cotton candy but neither of them are exact dupes.
Whereas I thought that Feel the Mo-heat-oes Green looks similar to Gargantuan Green Grape in the bottle, comparing them on the swatch sticks they are like apples and oranges (well more like Granny Smiths and Golden Delicious’ tho). Also threw in Sally Hansen’s Jaded and Models Own’s Apple Pie just to show the difference.
You’re Such a Budapest looks darker than Sinful Colours Candy Coated but that is because Candy Coated is so sheer (two coats of each on the swatches). If you’d do three or more coats of Candy Coated it could pass off as a dupe for You’re Such a Budapest. Especially because it has similar micro shimmer mixed in the otherwise creme looking finish.
No Room for the Blues didn’t have any dupes in my collection, I just threw Essie Avenue Maintain in there for the sake of comparison lol. This convinced me that I need more blue polishes :P
Overall a perfect set of pastels, isn’t it? The set would have been even more perfect if there would have been a nice pastel yellow included but never mind…
Thanks for checking out my OPI Hello Flamingo collection swatches and review, I hope you enjoyed this long, long post :) xoxox
