SensatioNail has recently released a new nail polish line. SensatioNail Nailtural Colour Polish is a vegan and cruelty free polish which is created using 85% bio-sourced ingredients such as potato, corn and wheat according to their website (source).
I was feeling particularly curious today and had a good look at the ingredients that have been recorded on the label. I can confirm that the formula appears to be 10-free. It also does describe many bio-sourced ingredients. In contrast, having some knowledge about nail polish ingredients, most brands that are advertised as 5-free and EU approved do tend to be made of many bio-sourced ingredients anyway :) I found that the most interesting ingredient, the one sourced form potato, is one I have not come across before – it is called isosorbide dicaprylate/caprate.
SensatioNail Nailtural Colour Polish review
As of the bottles, I really love the wood-look caps. The bottles are square and carry 11ml of product. The brushes are lovely and flat, they could have been more rounded for me to totally love them, but the current shape is very nice overall.
Formula wise both of the polishes were sufficiently opaque using two coats of polish. The fast dry top coat really did get touch dry fairly fast. I would say that form overall glossiness, it’s not the glossiest, but definitely overtakes some of the slower drying ‘fast dry’ top coats. On the macro photos it looks slightly streaky. This was due to the photos being taken straight after application. The streakiness was not visible when the top coat was fully dry.
