Hello! Welcome to the third, and last, post of my ‘Week of Chanel‘ feature! As mentioned, this week I am only showing you Chanel nail polishes. Today I have swatched the cult classic, Chanel Peridot.
Chanel Peridot is a green duo chrome polish shifting from golden to turquoise green. It is originally from Chanel’s 2011 fall collection, but regardless of being almost 10 year old now, seems to be still easily available online. Sometimes popular cult classics like this end up being sold for huge mark-ups, but it looks like there is at least one seller who is selling it with the original Chanel price of £19.99. I remember wanting this polish quite badly back in the first half of 2010’s, but never felt I can spare the £20. I did end up spending money for another cult classic from around that time, Chanel Taboo (swatched here). Even now, I still prefer Taboo over Peridot, but I am pleased that I have been able to add Peridot to my collection as well (especially now that I have grown to love green polishes).
In today’s nail polish world, duo chromes have advanced a lot and I don’t think Peridot is timeless in that regard, but it is still a relatively pretty polish. On the swatches I am wearing two coats with no top coat.
