Primark PS… Shimmer

Hello! It has been month’s since I have visited the high street. To be fair, I have not been overly keen on going because of the virus, but I was overdue my eye test and really had to go sooner or later. So, while I got my eyes tested, I also popped in to some much loved shops. One of the first places was obviously Primark. Overall the nail polish selection was boring, but I did come away with three Primark PS… Shimmer nail polishes.

Primark PS… Shimmer review

Primark PS… Shimmer nail polishes come in a small 6ml bottles. 6ml is way too small if you ask me. On the other hand, the price was small too, a bottle costing only £0.60. And you never see me complaining about something being too cheap haha.

Application wise, all three polishes needed three coats to achieve opacity. Considering the small bottles, I don’t think these polishes would go far as of applications per bottle. Colours were a bit hit and miss, but more on that below.

On the swatches I am wearing three coats of each polish with no top coat.

Starry Night

A light blue shimmery polish. It’s a nice colour, but nothing spectacular.

Ruby

A shimmery copper polish with some colourful flakes in the finish. I think this polish would be a lot prettier if it had more flakes in. I don’t like shimmer and flakes together overall. Maybe it would have been prettier as a copper shimmer polish or just a flakie?

Golden

A warm golden microflake polish on a clear base. Very pretty overall and definitely my favourite from the three!

Let’s just ignore the fact that my broken middle nail is totally obvious on these swatches (I built a new one using hard gel haha).

Anyhow, to sum it up, I liked these polishes, but probably would nt use any other than the one called Golden again.

Check out my other Primark swatches here. Thanks for reading xx
